Willamena, the last of our guinea pigs, is 2 1/2 yrs old and is feeling lonely and needing some other guinea pig company.
Her Story: We've had guinea pigs for several years now and the last time we were left with one, we rehomed another adult guinea pig of similar age to keep ours company into old age. Unfortunately, the 2 1/2 year old we rehomed turned out to be pregnant, so we had guinea pigs for even longer! Willamena was one of those babies. Her mother and another guinea pig have recently passed away and she is left on her own. Kids are older, busier and not so interested anymore so we're not keen to keep having more guineas and would rather try to rehome Willamena.
We're looking for a home where she would have another female guinea pig for company for the next couple of years. Happy for someone to trial whether the guinea pigs get along. She cannot live with male guinea pigs because she has never had a litter and is too old to start breeding now - it is dangerous for older guineas if they haven't had litters when younger.
We are happy to provide the cage and hutches we have if wanted - the indoor cage is stained in corners but scrubbed as clean as we can get it; the small hutch/run is functional but the lid is not attached (we use a brick), and the large waterproof hutch has mesh at the bottom for rabbits and is extremely big and heavy (trailer would be required!)
