The Cats Protection League is a registered charity dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating and rehoming stray and abandoned cats and kittens.
One of the cats available is BARBARA.
THANK YOU FOR LOOKING - BARBARA HAS GONE TO A NEW HOME.
Barbara is about 10 years old and came to CPL when her owner went into care.
Barbara has already been with us for some months. On arrival she needed surgery for a painful eye condition; while recovering from that she lost weight and was diagnosed with an overactive thyroid. This required further surgery and a lengthy recovery period. She is now back to good health and has been cleared for adoption.
Barbara is a friendly, confident cat with a big personality who has won the hearts of staff and volunteers during her stay with us. She is looking for a loving home with no other pets where she can spend her well-earned retirement being thoroughly spoilt.
Adopting an older cat can be very rewarding and they make great companions. They are particularly suitable for owners who are themselves less active and/or spend most of their time at home.
Barbara has been vet checked, desexed, tested for feline aids and feline leukaemia, wormed, defleaed, microchipped and vaccinated. Our cats are not free: 1-7 years old cost $90, 8 years and older cost $70. We will always take Barbara back if it does not work out.
We can be contacted on 384 0006 and will be happy to answer any questions you have regarding Barbara or any cat in our care. Visit our website www.cats.org.nz to find out more about the adoption process and our Facebook page for adoption news. The cattery is situated at 14 Charlesworth Street, Woolston and is open from 11.00am to 2.30pm Tuesday to Friday and Sunday and from 11.00am to 3.00pm on Saturday.
